JVS' knowledge of photography and Speedlites stems from 20 years as a professional photographer. Best known for his use of Speedlites to capture moments, his techniques have inspired photographers around the globe.

Prior to becoming a commercial, wedding and portrait photographer, he worked at several news organizations as a photojournalist. From covering land mines in Africa to the Winter Olympic games in Japan, the careful use of Speedlites set his images apart from the rest.

After leaving newspapers, JVS set his sights on becoming a leading photographer in the wedding and portrait world. He has created a thriving business in Dallas, Texas, and photographs clients across the globe.
